Stent-less URS/RIRS

We practice stentless URS/RIRS in selected cases when there is no significant ureteric edema, mucosal or other ureteric injury, and no significant blood clots or residual fragments likely to cause obstruction. However, some patients may experience transient colicky pain due to the passage of small clots or fragments, or persistent flank/lumbar discomfort due to postoperative ureteric edema or spasm.
